It was a physically challenging three days competing against myself, but I am now the Soldier of the Year in my company. Next month it'll be four days of competion for the BN Soldier of the Year.
PT went well except I slipped on an ice patch in front of the whole formation. How embarrassing. My freakin' shin was bruised for like a week. To make matters worse was my NCOIC was acting 1SG and I had to go up to him to take over the formation. He regained some of his composure, but he was smirking. Our actual 1SG was out that day, and I should thank my lucky stars, because she would never leave me live that down!!! The woman is a nut. She's cool, but nuts. And LOUD!!! I thought my family was loud, oh no, no one and I mean no one has nothing on this woman. But, at least she cares and takes good care of us. She goes to bat for a lot of people and some of these people if they were in another unit would be labled "dirt bags." I respect her a lot for that. Many people in the unit dislike her, but not me, not yet anyway.
Well that's all I have for now. Hope you all have a Happy Easter.
God bless you all and take care,
Jen
