  • Today was very tiring.  As you all know this week is Kit Carson week, but my unit isn't participating in any of the activities on post.  We got screwed out of it which is nothing new.  So, we're having our own sports week.  Yay!!!  We kicked the week off just right yesterday by doing the installation run.  It was suppose to be 3.5m, but I think it was shorter.  It was also suppose to be a 12min/m pace, thank God it wasn't.  Of course we had the whole accordian effect going and it was so funny to me that I just kept laughing.  Well I ended up laughing so hard I lost my breath!!!  When we slowed down again I  regained my composure.  It was a fun short run.  Afterwards we played flicker ball (more running) and when the day was over I was really tired, but a good tired.  Today we did soccer.  Oh, man that was ever exhausting and then this afternoon softball.  I didn't play softball because I really suck bad at it, but I did do the warm-up with my plt.  So, it was another running day.  I really shouldn't say running because in soccer and softball you're sprinting.  Anyway, once again I'm exhausted.

Last night I bought a bike and rode it to and from work today, not to mention to and from my lunch break.  With that coupled with sprinting today, it was tiring.  I haven't been on a bike in years and now I'm feeling it, even though I stay a short distance away from the S&A.  I'm just hoping I didn't reinjure myself today.  When going for the soccer ball myself and the opposing player kicked the ball at the same time and shock waves raced up and down my tendon.  It got really tight after the softball warm-up.  Geez, to come this far and be sent back would be torture on me.  I soaked in the bath as soon as I came home to loosen myself up and tonight I'm going to baby my tendon with a heat pack.  By tomorrow I should be fine.  I have a ruck march, but since so many people participating got hurt in todays soccer game, we won't be going like a bat out of heck.

Elisa called me to tell me about the ruck march(like as if I played hookey from work today), and that she's really tired and won't be going fast.  She hasn't done pt in two days!!!  Enough about her, she'll find out the hard way come APFT time.

Well that's all I got.  Need to get that heat pack ready.  God bless and take care.

    Take a gander at this.

  • Boy, I really hope you're not injured!  You are doing so well with all your exercising and PT... just baby your tendon for a day or so and see how you're doing.  Keep us all posted!
